Stuck in the Snow

I had to go up to our cabin today to check it.  In general just make sure it has not been broken into, that there are no leaks, the furnace is working fine, etc.  It takes about an hour to get there and I wanted to get in and out pretty quick.  The HOA where our cabin is located does not allow you to park on the dirt roads; if you do they will tow you pretty quick.  When I arrived there was only about 3-4 inches of snow in the driveway but it was packed hard!  I could jump up and down on it and it would only depress about a quarter of an inch.  I knew I would be there for at least an hour or two and was worried about leaving my car on the road so I didn’t block others and didn’t get towed.

Dream on Sept. 6th, 2013

Sept. 6 2013 (During a trip in Nauvoo): This one was just a few days before the other dream I posted… There were many people including family on a high mountain area with cabins. September 9th, 2013 Dream

A dream I had on Sept. 9th, 2013.  I was in a church basketball court.  I was a cub scout leader and there seemed to be 50-75 scouts running around in the large room.  I was trying to keep control but they were going crazy.  There were a few other leaders in the room as well.  I was talking to some scouts or other leaders trying to keep things organized when a woman and her son came and started asking me questions.  Read More…

Temple Work for a Dear Friend

One of my best friends from my high school days committed suicide in 2005. It was a tragedy and very sorrowful to hear at the time. Over the last several years I have thought about him on and off many times; wondering what state he is in now. His mother was Luterhan and his father was LDS but inactive for 30+ years. During his life and when I knew him he followed the Lutheran faith although he was not religious in general.

Why ’emogan’?

Why did I choose ’emogan’ to be the name of my blog?  This comes from about 15 years ago on my mission in Seoul Korea.  Korean’s have only 3 ‘characters’ in their name, each is only one syllable.  It is hard for many Koreans to pronounce ‘Eric’ in particular.  However I found a common last name is ‘E’ or in English it is usually translated as ‘Lee’.  There was a famous singer name GunMo Kim; however in Korea the last name comes first, so his name there was ‘KimGunMo’
